Dr. Malevolena LOG

Clinical Transcript: Patient #3651-I

Date: August 13, 2026 Attending: Dr. Malevolena, PhD, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Supernatural Worker) Patient: “11” Free floating tormenting apparition “spirit” (Geist Class II)

Dr. Malevolena: (Adjusting her spectacles and peering deeply into the massive, bloodshot cornea of her weeping patient, the flames on her collar burning with a soothing, maternal warmth) 11, my wonderfully grotesque, multi-pupiled darling. Your optic nerves are completely frayed today, and your iris is lacking its usual terrifying dilation. Tell me, what is clouding your magnificent, soul-piercing gaze?

11: (Blinking slowly, a viscous, sorrowful tear rolling down its central stalk) It’s the humans, Doctor. I am an ancient harbinger of madness. I slither into their bedrooms at night and project visions of societal collapse, plague, and apocalyptic despair directly into their cerebral cortexes. But lately… they just yawn. I showed a stockbroker a vision of a burning, flooded metropolis, and he just mumbled, “Yeah, I saw that on CNN at the gym.”

Dr. Malevolena: (Sighing sympathetically, placing a gentle, clawed hand against the monster’s damp, gelatinous sclera) Oh, my sweet, horrifying orb. You are suffering from a classic case of oversaturation. The mortal realm has simply monetized doom and gloom.

11: (Squinting, its pupil vibrating with anxiety) Exactly! I can’t compete with the 24-hour news cycle where everything and everyone is a BREAKING NEWS “DISASTER!!” They have chyrons, Doctor! Chyrons! I tried projecting a localized economic collapse into a mother’s dreams, and she critiqued my pacing. She told me the morning anchors make the impending doom feel much more urgent. I feel obsolete. I’m just a giant, floating eyeball with a subpar production value.

Dr. Malevolena: (Leaning forward, her demonic eyes flashing fiercely behind her glasses) 11, stop this ocular self-pity immediately. You are a mind-shattering entity of the abyss, not a cable network producer. You haven’t failed; you are just using an outdated, passive medium. You are merely showing them the terror. The news does that. To reclaim your horrifying glory, you must make them live it.

11: (Dilating widely, a flicker of interest returning to its bloody veins) Live it?

Dr. Malevolena: (Smiling, her razor-sharp teeth glinting in the dim light) Precisely. Stop broadcasting and start programming. Trap up to eight of their little mortal minds together in a shared, inescapable hallucination. Confine them to strict grid navigation through a labyrinth of their own deepest traumas, and force them to painstakingly manage a dwindling inventory of their remaining sanity. Don’t let them watch the end of the world, my dear—make them play through it, step by agonizing step!

11: (Pulsing with a vibrant, unholy red glow) A shared, interactive nightmare… Oh, that is gloriously wicked! They can’t scroll past that!

Dr. Malevolena: (Patting the giant eyeball affectionately) That’s the spirit, darling. Now go out there and render a new reality.
