Clinical Transcript: Patient #911-PH
Date: August 13, 2026 Attending: Dr. Bielzabeth, PhD, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Supernatural Worker) Patient: Slorb “The Devourer” (Biological Horror Class III)
Dr. Bielzebeth: (Tapping her manicured claws against a glowing, unholy contract, her flaming lapels perfectly pressed, looking exactly as depicted in the file image_1457df.png) So, Slorb. “The Devourer.” Though looking at you spilling across my Italian leather sofa today, “The Light Snack” feels a bit more accurate. (She pauses, staring blankly at the wall before letting out a dry, monotone bark of a laugh) Get it? Because you’re shrinking. It’s hilarious. I am incredibly funny.
Slorb: (Jiggling pathetically, a half-digested loafer floating sadly in his translucent, neon-green mass) It’s not funny, Doctor! I used to be an imposing, gelatinous terror! I could engulf an entire mid-sized sedan and still have room for the pedestrians! Now? I couldn’t even cover a Vespa. I’m losing mass. I’m losing volume. I feel so… porous.
Dr. Bielzebeth: (Sighs heavily, inspecting a pristine fingernail) Well, maybe you should stop hunting in affluent suburbs. What’s the underlying dietary issue here? Did you suddenly develop a conscience? Or a gluten intolerance? Because both of those are incredibly tedious, and I charge double for whining.
Slorb: (Slumping, his acidic surface tension spreading thinly across the cushions) It’s the humans, Doctor! They’re all on those GLP-1 medications! Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro… they have absolutely no appetite, which means they have no meat on their bones! I engulfed a corporate real estate agent yesterday, and she was entirely devoid of caloric density. It was like digesting a stalk of celery wearing a pantsuit. I’m burning more calories dissolving them than I’m absorbing! I’m starving to death in a sea of skinny legends!
Dr. Bielzebeth: (Smirks, leaning forward and resting her chin on her steepled hands) Ah, the irony. The all-consuming horror defeated by a weekly peptide injection. You know, Slorb, I always say: you are what you eat, and right now, you’re a highly regulated metabolic pathway. (She waits a beat, staring at him) Ha. Pathway. Because you slide on the ground. That’s absolute comedy gold. I should have my own Netflix special.
Slorb: (Bubbling sadly, a small, depressed burp releasing a puff of ozone) So what do I do? Switch to cows? I’m a creature of the night, not a farmhand. My brand is urban terror!
Dr. Bielzebeth: (Unfurling the contract on her desk with a dramatic flick) Slorb, if the local populace is metabolically useless to you now, you must aggressively pivot your demographic. Stop stalking Pilates studios and start targeting competitive eating circuits. Or, better yet, the Texas State Fair. Engulf the deep-fried butter stands while the humans are eating them. A turducken of saturated fat, complex carbohydrates, and mortal despair! It’s called strategic corporate synergy. (She laughs again, a sharp, flat sound) Synergy! Because you assimilate things! Oh, I am on fire today.
Slorb: (Slowly perking up, his gelatinous core glowing with renewed, viscous energy) State fairs… funnel cake… deep-fried butter… I could be a rolling sphere of cholesterol and doom!
Dr. Bielzebeth: (Sliding a flaming pen across the desk) Exactly. Sign the consultation fee waiver, and go terrorize a chili cook-off. You’ll be blocking out the sun by Tuesday.
